Roots Research Center launches a new project to prevent violence against children under the Daphne-CHILD programme

We are pleased to announce that Roots Research Center has been selected as one of 48 organisations across Europe to implement actions under the Daphne-CHILD programme, funded by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme of the European Union, and coordinated by Eurochild and Terre des Hommes.

Project Title:

“Education and creative expressions to prevent violence against children”

What we will do:

  • Art-based workshops for children aged 3–18, providing a safe space to express emotions and experiences through creativity.

  • Training for professionals (psychologists, social workers, educators) in P.A.C.E.–DDP techniques to build trust and support children affected by trauma and violence.

  • Mentoring support to a Roma community organisation to promote cultural inclusion and peaceful conflict resolution.

  • A public workshop to share project results, involving both children and professionals, fostering public dialogue on preventing violence against children.

The project will run from April 2025 to September 2026.

This project is funded by the European Union under the CERV – Daphne-CHILD programme and implemented with the support of Eurochild and Terre des Hommes.
