On 1 October 2026, Roots Research Center participated in the Daphne-CHILD High-Level Conference in Brussels, marking the completion of an important chapter of our participation in the European Daphne-CHILD programme.

As part of the conference, we had the opportunity to take part in the Human Library, where we presented our organisation’s experience from the implementation of the project “Creative Expression for Safe Childhoods: Educating Against Violence” in Greece.

Through our presentation, we shared our approach, activities and experiences gained throughout the project, focusing on the prevention of violence against children, trauma-informed practice, the development of relationships based on safety and trust, and the importance of creative expression as a safe space for children.

Our participation in the Human Library also provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences with organisations and professionals from different European countries, highlighting both shared challenges and diverse practices in promoting and protecting children’s rights, safety and well-being.

For Roots Research Center, the completion of Daphne-CHILD is not only the end of a project, but also an opportunity to carry forward the knowledge, experience and practices developed through it into our future work in the field of child protection.

The project was implemented within the Daphne-CHILD programme, led by Eurochild in partnership with Terre des hommes, and funded by the European Union’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101138279).

Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.
